Tragic Stabbing Incident in Reading (Saturday, 20th June 2020)

In light of the tragic circumstances of Saturday, we condemn the sick and depraved act carried out.

Our thoughts, prayers and condolences are with the families and victims in what is a deeply sorrowing time for us all.

Our brave emergency services responded to this event and we commend their service in keeping us safe.

This incident will only strengthen our cooperation and ongoing work with the local authorities and police force to ensure we safeguard vulnerable individuals susceptible to radicalization and help recognize the real threat of terrorism in whatever form it manifests.

We will always stand united against terrorism.
